- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Took the children for a hike on two separate occasions. The trails are easy enough for little children but are exciting. There are some climbs and descents to keep things interesting. Also, the scenery changes from meadow to woodland to deep forest to boardwalk through the bog--so it's fun to see what's next. Very well-marked trails and handy maps available at the entrance. The trails join from one to the next so you can decide if you want to keep going or if you want to turn back. I'd recommend Cold Creek Conservation area for a great place to hike with the family.
